The Watson
Foundation is
a
non-partisan,
nonprofit
organization
founded to
assist
wheelchair
bound
and
economically
challenged
individuals with
a pathway to
home ownership
programs,home
modifications,
foreclosure
prevention
assistance,
stair lift
installations,
medical
transport
appointments,
along with
budget planning
and financial
counseling.
I was physically
challenged after
experiencing
two strokes.
After two
and a half years
in a
wheelchair
and
extensive
physical
rehabilitation I
was able to walk
again, then I
started
The Watson
Foundation.
The inspiration
behind the
formation of The
Watson
Foundation has
been the memory
and deeds of my
maternal
grandmother,
Betty Jackson
Anthony who
raised me, along
with twelve of
my siblings as
she lived to see
one hundred-ten
years of age and
was always quick
to reply “was
no ways tired.”
She was the
backbone of our
family and our
foundational
hero.
She was
the reason we
all shall have
lived, and
taught us the
“meat and
potatoes” of
community
giving.
Our Motto is “We
intend to leave
them better than
we found them.”
